About TRIPPSITTER

A social travel platform built around the trip

What TRIPPSITTER does, what it does not do, how optional verification works, and how our public guidance is created and corrected.

Reviewed 28 August 2026 · By TRIPPSITTER Editorial Team

TRIPPSITTER is an independently operated travel social platform based in India for adults aged 18 and over. It brings trip discovery, companion matching, planning conversations, and travel updates into one product.

The platform is a place for people to meet and coordinate. It is not a travel agency, tour operator, transport provider, accommodation provider, emergency service, or background-check company. Members make their own travel and safety decisions.

Why the product exists

Generic social networks are useful for inspiration but weak at the practical handoff from ‘we should go’ to a real trip. TRIPPSITTER organizes that handoff around destinations, dates, travel preferences, join requests, mutual companion matching, and dedicated chats.

The product is designed to surface compatibility questions before commitment and to keep reporting, blocking, privacy, and grievance tools close to the interaction. No feature can remove the risks of meeting someone from the internet, which is why the Safety Center and public planning guides remain available without an account.

What a verification badge means

Identity verification is optional. A badge indicates that a limited identity-review process was completed for the account. It does not mean TRIPPSITTER has performed a criminal-record or background check, and it does not guarantee a member’s age, character, intentions, statements, future conduct, or safety.

People should never rely on a badge alone. We recommend gradual interaction, live conversation, an initial public meeting, independent bookings, trusted-contact check-ins, and an exit plan.

How public guides are produced

TRIPPSITTER publishes the public guides from recurring trip-planning, compatibility, privacy, scam-prevention, and safety questions addressed by the product. We separate product claims from general advice, state the platform’s limits, and link to primary public sources for changing emergency or advisory information.

Every guide shows its review date. We update a page when a product process changes, an official source changes, or a reader identifies a material error. We do not accept paid placement in editorial guides. Advertising, if enabled after approval, is visually labelled and does not determine guide recommendations.

Corrections and contact

For a factual correction, accessibility issue, or question about a public guide, email support@trippsitter.com and include the page URL. For a platform grievance, use grievance@trippsitter.com. Safety emergencies should be directed to local emergency services first.
