Community Guidelines
Rules for respectful, authentic, lawful, and safe participation on TRIPPSITTER, how to report a violation, how we respond, and how to appeal.
Reviewed 27 July 2026 · By TRIPPSITTER Editorial Team
These Community Guidelines explain what is and is not allowed on TRIPPSITTER. They apply to everyone and to everything you do here: posts, stories, photos, videos, comments, chat messages, profiles, trip plans, and companion matching activity. They form part of our Terms of Service.
The goal is a safe, respectful travel community. Breaking these guidelines may result in content removal, feature restrictions, suspension, or permanent removal from the platform.
Be respectful
Treat other travellers with respect. No harassment, bullying, intimidation, or threats. No hate speech or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, caste, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic. No unsolicited sexual advances, sexual harassment, or sending sexual content to people who have not asked for it.
Prohibited content
Sexually explicit, pornographic, or otherwise not-safe-for-work material. Content depicting violence, gore, self-harm, or cruelty to people or animals. Content promoting terrorism, extremism, or illegal activity. Child sexual abuse material of any kind, which is illegal and is reported to law enforcement and the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal. Content infringing intellectual property or privacy rights. Spam, scams, phishing, pyramid schemes, and fraudulent solicitations.
Be authentic
Do not impersonate other people, brands, or organisations. Do not create accounts with false information or run multiple accounts for deceptive purposes. Use real, recent photos of yourself and do not use someone else images. Do not misrepresent your age, identity, or intentions. You must be 18 or older to use TRIPPSITTER.
Protect privacy
Do not share other people private information without consent. Do not record, screenshot, or redistribute private conversations, photos, or calls in order to harass or harm someone. Do not solicit personal or financial information from other members.
Reporting violations
If you see something that breaks these guidelines or makes you feel unsafe, report it. Use the in-app report option available on profiles, posts, comments, and chats, and block any member to stop them contacting you immediately. For urgent safety concerns email support@trippsitter.com with SAFETY in the subject line so it can be prioritised. Where it is safe to do so, preserve the relevant messages before blocking, because blocking can remove your access to the conversation.
How we respond
Depending on severity and the information available, we may review the reported content, profile, or conversation; remove content, restrict features, suspend, or permanently remove accounts; preserve records where legally required or permitted; and report unlawful conduct to law enforcement while cooperating with lawful requests. We aim to act on credible reports of serious harm without undue delay. As an intermediary we cannot monitor every interaction, we rely in part on member reports, and we cannot guarantee a particular outcome or response time.
Appeals
If you believe we removed your content or actioned your account in error, you can appeal by emailing support@trippsitter.com within 30 days. We review eligible appeals and respond in line with our Grievance Redressal Policy.
If you are in danger
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first. In India, dial 112 for emergencies, 1091 for the women helpline, or 1098 for the child helpline, and report cyber offences at cybercrime.gov.in. Reporting to us is not a substitute for contacting the authorities.
